The offline social game you played with your friends and family becomes the online social game that you play with your friends and family, with Monopoly Millionaires, the Facebook game where everyone gets their own Monopoly board.

Hasbro, teaming up with Electronic Arts, has spread Monopoly to the four corners of the gaming world, from Xbox 360 to the Nintendo DS and mobile phones. Now Facebook gets it’s own version of the classic real estate board game, but not as you remember it. See, because this is a social networking game, you play by yourself. Yeah, I’m thinking what you are too at this point.

Monopoly Millionares gives you your own board to cultivate, purchasing property, making sure the power is on so your property is generating rent money so you can purchase even more property, forever growing your board into a colourful work of art that’s never quite finished.

But where does the social aspect kick in, you ask? When you visit your friend’s Monopoly Millionaire board. Once there, you roll a pair of dice (with a set number of dice rolls per experience level), collect property, take chances, and even directly go to jail which bans you from playing on your friend’s board for three minutes.

So you could say it’s a Farmville/Monopoly hybrid, only your board is your farm and other players’ farms are much more entertaining. If Monopoly was one of those board games that frustrated you to no end, resulting in the iconic ‘board flipping’, this might be more enjoyable for you. Or it might not.
